First Aid Kit For sports Medicine Class.?

im make a first aid kit for my class in sports medicine and im supposee to have 25 items and i can use things from home and i have to tell what i can use those items for. And i need help with things i can put in there.

Well first of all before you make a first aid kit you have to decide what kind of kit you want to make it for. Example of first aid kits: Sports event, Car, camping, traveling or home. Once you decide that then you can start making it.
First Aid Kit needs the following:

- Different size band-aids ( different size cuts, knuckles, finger tips, etc)
- Different size gauze pads (2 by 2, 3 by 3, 4 by 4)
- First Aid Tape ( hold gauze pad in place)
- LATEX FREE GLOVES ( 10 pairs is good in case you have other people helping you with emergency and make sure they are LATEX FREE gloves because some people at allergic to latex and if they are passed out or unresponsive you will not know if they have a latex allergy, so it's better just to have latex free.)
- Surgical Scissors ( cutting gauze or tape)
- Rolled Gauze (different sizes)
- Ace bandages ( small, medium and large, one of each)
- Instant Ice Packs ( at least 2, used for stings, bites, broken bone, sprain and anything else)
- Glucose tabets for chest pain
- EPI pen for allergic reactions
- Blanket
- Flares to warn people that a emergency if up ahead can get them at walmart
- Fire entingisher found at walmart also
- Finger splints
- Sam splints found on google and you can order them! Good for supporting broken bones
- Bactine to wash cuts out and has pain relief in it
- Neosporin it's nice to get the one that has pain relief in it too because cuts or burns can be painful
- Burn kit found at walmart
- Alcohol pads used to clean cuts
- Hand Sanitizer
- CPR mask - found online or you can go online and see where you can get one. Some college bookstores have them for nursing and medical classes
- Some kind of case to put your supplies in. Tool boxes work well or you can get a small clear storage container at walmart. You can also put supplies in like a small or medium bag that you can carry with you everywhere if you want! Always good to carry ad bag with you in case of an emergency or carry a small little bag in your purse if your a girl with just the basic needs in it!
- Flashlight with extra batteries
- Cell Phone with minutes if you don't have one already!
- Tylenol, Advil ( pain relief)
- Bendryl ( allergy relief)
- Aspirin ( chest pains and pain relief)
- Dayquil/Nyquil ( cold symptoms)
- First Aid hand book
- A few dollars in case stuck or in a emergency someone needs something to eat or drink. ( Only if kit is used for a car first aid kit)
- Little notebook like a pocket notebook with a 2 pens

I hope this helps you can also go on google.com and type in things to put in a first aid kit and you can be specific! You can put like what to put in a first aid kit for a car or whatever you want to make it for.

what can i add to my first aid kit to make it a survial kit...?

i just bought an first aid kit the ones that are like 15 $ ok it includes
9 cleansing wipes

2 neosporin ointment

1 instant burn cooling patch (wats that)

1 cortaid anti-itch cream

a bunch of band-aids and 20 butter fly closures

8 gauze pads

1 oval eye patch

1 first aid tap 5 yds

3 band-aid sport strips

2 tylenol extra strength caplets

4 mortin IB caplets

2 imodium a-d caplets

1 glow stick (already used it)

ems magnet

instant cold pack(already used)

survial wrap/blanket

finger splint

1 pair exam gloves

tweezers

and a first aid booklet

You sound like you have it all.
Only add things that you know how to use and that no one else will have.
Remember you might be walking with all this stuff that you will not need.
change the stuff you already used, they are no good.
How long does help take to reach your furthest areas?
If you are packing a survival kit then you will be out in the woods, then why will you stuff like mirrors, if you have cell phone cover all over.
I advise you to do the same thing I do.
Have a mobile kit, which is like this, and one that is based in your car, which has heavier things.
Let me know exactly what you plan is, and where you will be carrying this kit.
Things like MRE or power bars are good, and water tablets.
contact me we can do this further

What things are needed in a first aid kit for outdoors?

This kit is for just anything outdoors like sports, camping, hiking...you know, all the good stuff.

snake bite kit, bandaids, bandages, alcohol wipes, aspirin or ibuprofen, anti-itch cream, neosporin, glucose tablets, poison ivy wash, tweezers. I think those are the main things we always need. Hope that helps.

What kind of First Aid Kit would NOT be eligible for a Flexible Spending Account?

I would like to purchase a nice Emergency First Aid Kit with My Flexible Spending Account (FSA).
What wouldn't qualify? Would this one that I would like to get be eligible? http://www.abfirstaidstore.com/product/f ogg/first-aid-kitslarge-kits/1500-first- aid-kit
I am frequently outdoors pursuing adventure sports like Rock Climbing, Kayaking & Backpacking and am an active Triathlete as well. This kit would be for the house and back of my SUV and would be a comfort to know it's there. I've also taken Wilderness First Responder Courses and was a Combat Lifesaver in the military so I know a few medical tricks. Would this kind of kit be eligible?

Thanks in advance.

Sounds like it would be okay, as long as "[each] item [is] intended to treat or prevent a specific medical condition." Very nice kit by the way.
