Does anyone know what goes into a standard, generic, first aid kit? I need to refill the one at work- and they basically picked the wrong man for the job. Ideas?
I gave them the list of stuff you guys mentioned- I work at a hotel and the General Manager almost had a heart attack! Apparently, I was a lot more prepared then they had anticipated. At least of anyone DOES have a heart attack, I'll have enough supplies ready!
Hard to come up with specifics. Where do you work? You can also buy a prefilled kit, but they are expensive and not very practicle. Some companies will sell the kit and train you on how to use the stuff, but then they keep coming back and replacing stuff and fleecing the companies they service. I was approached by a company to work for them and refused to do it. Try to avoid these people.

WOW! SOunds like you have done your research and have pretty much everything you need.
I noticed the Horse Questions section and thought of a couple of things you might want to get from the seller.
1. What is the name of the farrier who has been trimming/shoeing the horse?
2. What is the name of the vet(s) who have seen the horse?
Once you know the answer to these two questions, you can contact the farrier and the vet and see what kind of issues the horse may have had. You can also see how honest the seller was should you find a horse who has some issues.
A couple of other things:
1. Pocket knife (carry in your first aid kit and saddle bag..Swiss Army style can be especially helpful.)
2. Animalintex - great for packing hooves if needed
3. Furazone - lasts forever And pretty inexpensive
4. Bot knife
5. Mineral block (in addition to the salt block)
6. Ground or fence feeder and buckets (for multiple purposes)...don't know if you were looking for that kind of answer
7. Syringes and needles (syringes can be used to administer oral medications or to give shots, etc.)
Can't think of anything else right now, but hope this helps!
