Are bandaids not required in a nsw work first aid kit?

They're probably listed as 'Sterile Adhesive Strips' as "Bandaid" is a trademarked name brand.

legal requirements for including S2 S3 and S4 drugs, medications into first aid rooms and first aid kits?

under workcover and other nsw Acts, what must be done to gain approval to have drugs and medications included in first aid rooms and first aid kits in the workplace.
e.g. asthma puffers, epi pens.
a risk assessment would have to be carried out, as would consultation with staff, a description of the likely hazards to be found in the workplace - dust - allergens.
what else?
I would be most grateful for your responses

You cannot hold drugs of any kind in 1st Aid kits as 1st Aiders are not trained to dispense them, this even includes things like Aspirin.

The only difference is in kits specifically for fully trained paramedics, which general 1st Aiders should have no access to.

I doubt very much that you will be able to have medications such as S3 and S4 in first aid rooms and/or kits.

It's very hard to find somewhere that is even legally allowed to administer an S2 drug to anyone.

Because of the legalities concerning medications being given to persons with allergies to different meds, there isn't a great deal that any business/school etc can have in first aid kits and/or rooms.

question concerning car accidents in nsw, Australia.why would the EMT take the old mans word and let him go?

this question is pertaining to an accident i witnessed today in front of my home.just before the roundabout there was a small car stopped or slowed down and next thing i knew a van hit this car from behind. i went over to check to see if everyone was ok knowing full well the extent of the damage to the car ment that there were neck and back injurys for sure. the inpact alone crushed the trunk almost into the back seat of the car because the van had a cattle bar on the front. no one called police , nor did they call an ambulance. when i asked a passer by who had a first aid kit why there were no police or ambulance he replied "they said they were ok"the couple in question were at least in their 60s. the man hit his head and his wife was concerned. and the driver of the vans head was bleeding. the passer by asked me what my credentials were i said experience. he said he was an emt. i said then you know they should be looked over properly as they could be in shock.he just turned away.

In the US, a person has the right to refuse medical service. Unless the individual is unconscious, and it is an immediate life or death situation, a medical professional cannot force treatment on someone, unless a next of kin of close enough relation signs a written consent.

SOME individual rights are still sancrosanct.
