First Aid For Broken Tooth

Answers

How old was your baby when he/she started teething?

Just curious when other babies started showing signs of teething, and how long did it take for their first teeth to break through the gums?

What did you do to help aid your child in the pain involved with teething?

teething at 6 weeks and the first tooth came at 6 months with the second a few days later.

Please help? my cat broke her canine teeth partially and it pierce through its outer lower jaw?

So my cat went missing for almost 1 week, and yesterday i heard her meowing i went up to search and indeed found her but was afraid of me, after awhile i manage to get her back.

Immediately after reaching back i went to pour for her food and water but after smelling it she walk off,
instead the other kittens and cats snatch it.

I found out that her top right sharp canine teeth is partially broken? and saw a sharp white teeth tip looking appearing through her right lower chin/ jaw area? and it looks infected ...i don't know how it happens = ="
I tried using tweezer to pull out but she struggle a bit.

Is it possible for her to break her canine and pierced her skin? i can't find any first aid for this case.

Since its her adult canine will it grow back? is there a cat dental in Singapore? should i take her to the vet?

Its now the 2nd day since i found her, she has to be in the cage, we tried giving her wet food is it okay?

Please help its very urgent, thanks in advances.
but her tooth is INDEED broken, she can't bite wet food properly too, and around the tooth on her skin the outer jaw corner is blood clot and looks infected.

Thanks for the help.

you definitely need to take her to a vet and they can give you the information you need for a cat dental place. She will probably have to have surgery so it might cost a little. Try mushing up her food and sorta putting it on her tongue. She cant chew but she can swallow. As for water use an eye drop and put it on her tongue as well. Food she can survive a little but she needs water. I had a cat that was mixing for about two weeks that had a hole in his leg. He wouldnt eat either so I put the food and water together that way he got a little of both. He lived and was fully healed unlike the vet said he would

You covered it pretty comprehensively, but there are a few things that will be useful that you left off.

1. A roll of duct tape. If your horse ever gets an abscessed hoof, you will need this to bandage it; beyond that, you will find duct tape has a zillion uses around the barn.

2. Scissors. For cutting the duct tape, of course, but for lots of other things. You might want to go to Ikea and get a bundle of the cheap scissors they have, because you'll find that when other people find out you keep scissors in your tack trunk or locker or whatever, they will borrow them, never to return. :-((

3. A sturdy, easy-to-carry flashlight with a powerful beam, and a "penlight" flashlight. The penlight is for shining into nostrils, ears, and other body parts in the event of an emergency. The other flashlight is because, I promise you, there will be times when you need it and need it badly.

4. Stud chain for emergency restraint or if your horse isn't listening to you when you lead him.

5. Gloves. Unless you live someplace where it never gets cold or wet or muddy, you're going to need these. I don't mean riding gloves, although you will need these too; I mean something like gardener's gloves for wet and muddy work.

6. Notepad and several pens or pencils. Yes you will sometimes need to write things: notes to other people who aren't there, to your trainer, all sorts of things.

7. If you need glasses, a spare pair that you keep in your tack trunk, or your car if you drive. (Misery is when you need glasses to drive, you didn't bring a spare set, and your horse throws you and your glasses get broken. How are you going to get home now?)

8. If you intend to go trail riding, some kind of tag that you clip to your horse's bridle or saddle that has his name, your name, and some minimal contact information, so if the two of you go your separate ways during a ride, whoever catches your horse knows how to reach you.

9. A card or sheet of paper that has all of your medical and contact information, including your medical insurance information, that can easily be located by someone at the stable if you are unconscious.

10. A card, sheet of paper, plaque on your horse's stall, something that is NOT locked in an office or locker or cabinet, that gives your vet's name and phone number, an alternate vet's name and phone number, and where you can be reached in case your horse has an emergency when you aren't there.

Hope that helps!

XBOX 360 or a PS3 for a first-time console owner?

So, with the holidays coming up, that means that stores are starting their Holiday Layaway programs. I've never had a gaming system before and this is going to be my year to break that! I'm just stuck on which console to purchase. With this being my first gaming system and all, I really want to make sure it's the right one for me.

So, a few things are that I like to watch a lot of movies; I even have a Netflix account. But I don't have an HD television. All three of my best friends have PS3s but a few of my cousins that I hang out with a lot all have the XBOX 360.

Testing out games, I've found that I like FPS games (like COD and Battlefield) but I do still want to be able to play family friendly games (in case my parents and siblings want to play something that isn't killing a zombie)

I'm a live-at-home student that's living off (by the skin of my teeth) financial aid, which is why I'm planning on getting a console via the layaway program, haha. But yes, money will be tight, so I'm not sure about the monthly online fee (but then again, I'm not sure how much it is).

Also, I'm interested in the Kinect/Move features of both. From what I've found, Kinect seems to be the more popular choice but I'm still not 100%.

And could someone explain to me what's a good amount of memory for a starter like myself. I'm making myself dizzy trying to figure out this 4GB vs. 120GB vs. 160GB vs 250GB vs. 320GB.

Sorry for the barrage of info and questions but thank you all in advanced!

In your situation, Id probably go with the 360.

Both systems can stream Netflix. However, this Fall Xbox is getting a major update that will, among other things, enable full Kinect integration into the menus, Bing voice search, and Youtube. There will also be Xbox TV, where Xbox is teaming up with various compaies including HBO, FiOS, Xfinity, and others to bring their on demand content to LIVE. However most of these features (including Netflix) will require an Xbox LIVE subscription

The Xbox controller is designed for FPS games, whereas the PS3 is designed for Fighters and RPGs.
Both systems will have some family friendly content.

General prices for 360s and PS3s:
http://www.gamestop.com/browse/xbox-360/ systems?nav=1385-c4
http://www.gamestop.com/browse/playstati on-3/systems?nav=138d-c4
For online, PS3 is free, LIVE is $10 per month or $60 per year.

As for Move vs Kinect, I'd say Kinect wins, no contest. Its full body tracking, not just a suped-up Wii-mote. It will also have the ability to control (almost) your whole Xbox system by voice and hand movement this Fall.

For HDD size, and your money situation, I'd go with the smallest you can get on either system.
4GB is enough internal memory for all of your save data. You could also fit some dlc on them. However, if you can go higher than a 4 gig (Xbox) I would recommend doing so. Games like Halo: Reach require an HDD and dont recognize the internal 4gig one.

Bottom Line:
For you I'd suggest the Xbox360, unless that extra $10 per month (or $60 per year) is enough to stop you. It has way more features that you are looking for, and its controller is built for FPS games. The kinect is much more Family Friendly, and will be able to control your system by voice alone.
