I need intelligent answers please. Why do you think its necessary for babysitters to have First Aid training? Some web site info would be good also thanks!
Yes, yes, and YES!!!! Of course. It is essential that you take a First Aid course before becoming an official babysitter. For instance, if the baby starts to choke, cough excessively, or has an allergic reaction to food, you need to know what to do if an emergency takes place. Type in First Aid training classes on Google and click on the first couple of links. Not at the very top, like the ads, but the ones that are below the first 2 links. I am a babysitter. Once, my friend's little sister started to choke on a grape, and I whacked her on the back right where her spinal cord starts. The grape became unlodged out of her windpipes, and she started to breathe normally again. If something tragic happens to a child, you want to know how to act and come to their rescue. Who knows? First Aid training can help you help save someone's life.
Get a babysitting license by contacting the local YMCA or local Red Cross agency for available classes and first aid certification courses. Log on ...
Where can a teenage boy get a first aid course in NY, Preferably , Oneonta area.
He is 14 and looking into doing babysitting for extra cash.
He is really good with kids.
But I will like him to get a first aid course, just in case somethinjg happens while he is babysitting and before the ambulance get there, he will be well equipped to handle minor situations.
Thanks for the help
Hi! The best place to get more information, is either The American Heart Association, or The Red Cross. Usually, they both offer CPR classes specifically for sitters. Check out their site, or call your local chapters.
What should I pay my full time babysitter (monthly) for my three children this summer?
Is $1500/month enough to pay for a full time babysitter for my three children this summer?
I have a two year old, a six year old with special needs, and a 10 year old.
She is 18 years old, has babysitter course, first aid, and cpr c
This is in Canada btw...thought I should mention that cause canada and america have different currency.
I think that def. sounds fair for an 18 year old.
I had a in-home daycare (licensed) and I charged $40/day per child, but had a sibling discount of an additional $10 per day per child.
So for me, I charged $60/day for a family of 3 children. I also provided meals, drinks, snacks and wipes.
Im in the US too, not Canada.
But I think what you are paying sounds very fair.
i have to take a course and there is one for 1 day and 1 for 2 weeks and one for 1 month. 1 day is an all day thing and we will watch movies and such 2 weeks the course is broken in to sections so is the 1 month one. which course is better? 1 month we train with real babies 1 day cost 100.00 2 week cost 150.00 1 month cost 300.00
I would go with number 2. $300 is an awful lot to spend on babysitting.
Im 13 nearly 14 and have been in girl guides for 5 years. Each year we study first aid to earn badges for a whole 3 months. would you hire me to babysit if yes do you know any one in the gold coast area who need a babysitter?
Yes I would if I lived in your area, you appear to be a responsible person.
Best wishes in your endeavors.
