Stroke and heart attack require separate evaluation and measures.
DO NOT ADMINISTER ASPIRIN.
Aspirin is often administered right away if they suspect heart attack in the hospital but not until an actual physician has seen it.
Aspirin can NOT be administered if they suspect stroke UNTIL they do a brain CT scan to rule out bleeding of the brain as this would only make the bleeding worse.
The ONLY measure is to dial 911 immediately.
Helping someone who is having a heart attack -- help the person sit down, and call 999 immediately. This is one of 14 videos on an online learning ...
about causes of heart attack...etc. hoz to put a stop at home/// plz. helpppppp
you can not stop a heart attack from happening, you should go and get some first aid cpr....(cardio pulminairy recessitation) training....cpr is first aid that helps you to keep air/blood circulating until medical professionals arrive to tend to the victim.......just as a tip, check for airway obstruction(listen at the mouth/nose region for breathing, to make sure there is an open passage for air to flow in/out) check the pulse to make sure blood is flowing to the heart/brain. chest compressions is the final step, but in no way am i suggesting that you do this without training....good luck, go get the training, you'd be surprised how fast you remember things in an emergency situation..good luck,,,
a. calling the EMS
b. going to the nearest hospital with 24-hour emergency cardiac care
c. monitoring the ABCs
d. all of the above
All of the above.
what do you do, first aid wise, after you call for medical help. Do you still give him CPR if the victim becomes unconscious or would that damage the heart if you are pushing on the chest. Do you give him mouth to mouth? do you sit him/her down, get the victim to lie on the back, get the victim a seat? Is it better to get him somewhere warm/cool? Finally how do you tell if it is really a heart attack? and do heart sufferers have any meds that you could use on them. What if its a stroke and you mistake it for a heart attack.?
You only do heart compressions if the heart has stopped - never while it's still beating. And mouth to mouth is only done if the casualty is not breathing. If they are still breathing, and have a pulse, the safest thing is to put them into the recovery position until professional help arrives.
It doesn't actually look like a stain - it looks like the alcohol removed the finish. Bottle was setting on table overnight. Stain is in prominet spot of huge coffee table.
(also first aid for the heart attack when I saw it!!)
You will probably need to refinish the entire table. And don’t worry, it’s a simple process.
1. Spread stripper on the wood (no bad jokes here please!) and let it sit for a while.
2. Once the finish starts to bubble up, take your scraper and scrape it off. You can use a small screw driver to scrape out indentations or curves.
3. Get stripping pads. Use coarse pads with soapy water and scrub the wood. Then repeat with finishing pads and plain water. Wipe with rag and let dry. You may want to sand the wood at this point. End with find sandpaper for a smooth finish.
4. Time to apply the new finish. Make sure you have excellent ventilation (especially if you’re using oil-based products. Try using Minwax “Polyshades” because this combines stain and a finish so it will save you a step. Then start with a new brush, preferably an angled brush for getting the corners and tight places.
5. Apply numerous thin coats. In between coats let it dry (an hour for oil-based products, and around 20 to 30 minutes for polyurethane. Also between coats you want to sand lightly with fine grit sandpaper. After sanding wipe the table with a clean, dry rag to remove any grit. Four to six coats should be enough.
That’s it. Let it dry and you have yourself a beautiful looking coffee table, alcohol stain free!
