First Aid Activities For Kids

Answers

I am looking for a fun, simple first aid activity for kids?

It needs to be something simple but fun to teach like 3rd graders the basics of first aid??? Any ideas where I could find such an activity?

Teaching First Aid to kids?

I'm trying to teach a couple Kids (ages 2-10) some basic First Aid over the summer months. I'm trying to find some activities to do for them (coloring pages, arts and crafts, etc). I googled for the last 2 hours, but couldn't really find anything special. Any ideas on what to do or where I can find something?

Dig up some old dolls and use them for fixing up again. Broken bones, scrapes, cuts etc. Use ketchup, splints, bandages, eye patches etc.

Activity Ideas For First Aid?

I am teaching a Heat and Cold Injury Lesson at my Saint John Ambulance branch. I need ideas for activities and they half to help with the learning of heat and cold injuries. The age is 10 - 19 the older kids don't mind doing younger kid stuff so anything really works. Thanks for the help!

Have them prepare skits working in pairs or trios showing how to care for first, second and third degree burns, how to identify and treat frostbite, how to treat sunburn and sunstroke.

I think it is very comprehensive.

Your mother being a teacher is irrelevant. It is also obvious that they call to see when you are available.

Make sure you use some good fonts and highlight some of the information. Reading it like this is really wordy. If I saw your flyer like that... I would have quit reading it half way.

Highlight your name, experience, location (but I'm sure where your fliyers are handed out are part of your location), Trustworthy, firstaid and CPR and your contact info.

I would not have I am 14, soon to be 15. That sound very unprofessional. The flyers you pring while you are 14.. say 14.. and the ones 15... say 15. "Soon to be 15" definitely sounds like what a kid would say. Little kids are always saying that they are 12 and a half... and such. Really, it does not matter. You don't hear adults saying that they are 45 and a half.

Also, if you have where you are willing to work, you dont' need to tell them where you currently live.

I hope that helps.

Make sure that you have a professional sounding e-mail. Make a new one if in doubt. I just want to make sure because your current screen name is "Yo Moma". If you e-mail is that type of thing, get a new one.
