who wrote the emergency medical first aid act?

:) need help for sports med homework! The act states that: Protects volunteer athletic first Aider from liability in the event of something going wrong if they in good faith, do the best they can in providing emergency care.
...i live in canada

Here's an idea: how about if you tell people what COUNTRY, what STATE you live in, then people can answer usefully.

In any event, no one person writes a law these days, they are drafted by lawyers, tinkered with by politicians, debated in committees, and finally scrutinized by the whole legislature involved. Ay every step small and large changes are made, so every person involved helped to 'write' the law.

Whats a good first aid slash emergency medical technique book to study?

I'm going to school to be either a firefighter or paramedic, I haven't started any medical classes yet but I wanted to get a bit of a head start so I know what all the teachers are talking about from the get go. I'm looking for something that has some detail, most of the books that I've found so far are extremely basic. If anybody knows of a book that has some really good information in it that would be a huge help! Thanks!

Why not pre-read the course text? Other than that, any Occupational First Aid Attendant or Emergency Medical Responder text will cover the basics. Make sure you understand your scope of practice though!

is there a law in arizona allowing a minor to apply emergency first aid?

My son really wants to be a doctor, however, he is only 13 years old. He is CPR certified, and spends a lot of his free time studying medical trauma. He thinks that he is legally aloud to help in an emergency situation.

Not quite sure you see because if it is a "emergency situation" whatever can be done to help needs to be done. He is CPR certified and obviously knows a lot more about first aid than many people older than him would. I believe he could legally help especially since he is certified for the CPR.

What kind of First Aid Kit would NOT be eligible for a Flexible Spending Account?

I would like to purchase a nice Emergency First Aid Kit with My Flexible Spending Account (FSA).
What wouldn't qualify? Would this one that I would like to get be eligible? http://www.abfirstaidstore.com/product/f ogg/first-aid-kitslarge-kits/1500-first- aid-kit
I am frequently outdoors pursuing adventure sports like Rock Climbing, Kayaking & Backpacking and am an active Triathlete as well. This kit would be for the house and back of my SUV and would be a comfort to know it's there. I've also taken Wilderness First Responder Courses and was a Combat Lifesaver in the military so I know a few medical tricks. Would this kind of kit be eligible?

Thanks in advance.

Sounds like it would be okay, as long as "[each] item [is] intended to treat or prevent a specific medical condition." Very nice kit by the way.

What would the future want with people from today?

If someone is still cryopreserved when technology becomes available to revive them, then they will be revived simply because there are people around who cared enough to maintain them until then. Cryonics is not like beaming messages into interstellar space, or putting messages in bottles, not knowing where they will land. Patients are continuously cared for by people who personally care about them -- friends and family in many cases. In time those people will also be cryopreserved, and their friends and families will remain concerned about their care, and so on. Since the progression of cryonics technology makes cryonics a last-in-first-out process, this scenario will eventually reverse itself. People will be motivated to recover their friends and family, and then those people will be motivated to recover their friends and family as recovery technology improves, and so on.

There is another reason for optimism about future motivation for revival. Long before it ever becomes possible to contemplate revival of today's patients, reversible suspended animation will be perfected as a mainstream medical technology. From that point forward, the whole tradition of caring for people who cannot immediately be fixed will be strongly reinforced in culture and law. By the time it becomes possible to revive patients preserved with the oldest and crudest technologies, revival from states of suspended animation will be something that has been done thousands, if not millions, of times before. The moral and cultural imperative for revival when possible will be as basic and strong as the obligation to render first aid and emergency medical care today.

Cryonics patients have nothing to fear from the future. Reaching an era when people actually debate whether it's time for revival is the best problem a cryonics patient can have. The real risk and uncertainty in cryonics comes not from the future, but from the present. Can cryonics patients outlast a primitive culture that still regards them as empty shells ("remains") to be disposed of?
My question is DO YOU THINK ITS RIGHT TO FREZE PEOPLE?

No, our sin is death. No one is going to "come back" after being frozen. Not in TODAY'S technology anyway. They will open the freezer to a shriveled, preserved corpse...nothing more. Besides, you think your great, great, great, great great gandkids are gonna remember..."oh, yeah...that lady from 400 yrs ago is frozen..let's meet her!" They'll just kill ya and experiment with your tissues.
